Here’s an interesting story from today’s New York Times. Hot on the trail of “Thomas Mann,” who was selling peptides. Check it out.

Holy smokes! Rant, you slipped this in under my radar over a month ago, just noticed it today! What a mind-blowing report, I had never heard ANY of this before (had you?) Wow…just WOW! Peptides…sounds like a new tasty candy treat or something! Kind of wondering where I can get me some of those on the cheap (like REAL cheap)…I AM getting older and starting to slowly fall apart…just had my annual bloodwork done last week…and yep, still borderline anemic (officially my red blood cell count /HCT is considered “low”)…the story of my life…been that way as long as I can remember. Sure wish I could get me some LEGAL prescription EPO! I’d love to get my hematocrit up to even a 42 (from the 38.5-39 range I live at)…I’d feel like SUPERMAN! But alas…I’m a nobody and my 39 isn’t life threatening or anything, it’s just MY normal (sadly). Anyway, glad to know you’re still out there scanning the airwaves for interesting stuff like this! Funny that the report didn’t mention ANY cyclists…it seems highly unlikely that they weren’t represented.
