More than 150 people turned out to hear the reigning 2006 Tour de France champion speak about his new book, Positively False.

They attended every stage of last year’s tour, with umbrellas that said “Go Floyd.” When they mentioned the umbrellas Landis laughed and remembered seeing them a number of times during the race.

Another great post! One more fact on the Discovery decision. Another move by the new CEO was to close all the Discovery retail stores because, like the team, they were part of the vision of the former CEO. Both decisions (cycling sponsorship and retail outlets) were made as part of the NEW CEO’s focus on core products such as programming.
